This
part of the park runs from Tyndrum at the North West corner
going through Crianlarich along Glen Dochart to Killin then and
also includes Lochearnhead and St Fillans. This part of the part
is even less sparsely populated than the rest and is dominated
by mountains and lochs wherever you look.
The West Highland Way
runs through Crianlarich having previously run the entire
east side of Loch Lomond
and up through amazing Glen Falloch. It then winds its way
to Tyndrum and then on to Bridge of Orchy and beyond.
Crianlarich and Tyndrum are popular stop off points for
those walking the Way. Also the villages are popular with
climbers as many of the National Park Munros are easily
accessible from here and so booking rooms in advance at any
time of year is advisable.
Both Crianlarich have
Train Stations with trains running from Glasgow to Oban and
Glasgow to Fort William. There are also bus services along
the all roads.
