The
river runs from Tyndrum where is called the Cononish then it
changes its name to the River Fillan just and then from Crianlarich
it is known as the River Dochart where after plunging down
the Falls of Dochart at Killin it flows gently into Loch Tay. At
this point from the falls to the Tay, salmon fishing is severely
restricted to local residents. Permits however are available for
coarse fishing
